1. Brainstorm

    • Avoid criticism

2. Writing a Script

  •  VIDEO SIDE
    • Describe the shot
    • Framing
    • Angle
    • Where everything is located
    • Any motion that takes place

  • AUDIO SIDE
    • What actors say
    • Any sounds that occur
    • Voiceover / Narration
    • Background Music

3. Creating a Storyboard
  • Like drawing a comic strip
  • 1 box for each shot in the script
  • It’s a sketch not classical art
4. Filming the Raw Video
  • Try different angles for the shot
  • USE THE ZOOM
  • Keep the camera on
  • Repeat the shot three or four times
  • Avoid pointing into the light
  • Use a tripod
5. Editing the Video
  • Cut out the bad parts
  • Insert “stills”
  • Trim it down to size
6. Create the Title
  • Choose a template
  • Write the name of the video
  • Write your name
  • You can make a custom template
7. Add the credits
  • Use the same template as the title
  • Name everyone who helped and what the did
  • Appreciation helps
8. Add Special Effects
  • Transitions between shots
  • Filters over shots
  • Don’t overdo it
9. Add Sound
  • Add the Voiceover
  • Add special sound effects
  • Adjust the track volumes
  • Add appropriate music
10. Publish the Video
  • Save the whole thing as one
  • Burn or Upload to a website
  • Let others watch it
  • The Critique
