Week of May 10 - May 14

This week we will finish editing our Infomercials.
Then we will start out final project: I Am. This project will be worth a total of 200 points and is all individual work. There will be 20 points for the rough draft of the poem, 20 points for the final draft of your poem and then 160 points for the actual completed video.

Week of May 3 - May 7

This week we will start working on our Infomercials.
We will complete our info sheets, storyboards, scripts and filming this week. We will start editing on Friday.

Week of April 26 - April 30th

This week we will finish our Silent Movies and start ourInfomercials.

Week of April 19 - 23

This week we will finish editing our Silent Movie Projects. If everyone turns in their project on time and everyone passes, we will watch the videos in class. Otherwise we will go on to our next project: a commercial.

This week we are working on our Scripts and Storyboards for our Silent Movie Project.

This week we will start our new project: The Silent Movie Project.
This project with have no direct diolog, which means we will have to work hard to convey thoughts without works. This will be a fun project.

Week of March 22 - 26

This week we will finish watching our Movie and then start talking about copyright laws.
We will then start our next project: A Silent Movie!

Week of February 9 - February 11

Because of the Snow Day on Monday and the Inservice Day on Friday, we have a short week.

We will work this week on editing our "Get To Know Each Other" Project. We have a survey on Wednesday, so we really only have Tuesday and Thursday this week in class. Projects will be due by the end of class Tuesday Feb 16th (remember, we do not have class on Monday either!). This means you only have 3 days for editing. Make sure you look at your rubric so you can get an "A"1.

Week of February 1 - February 5

On Monday we will finish our scripts for the Interviews.
We will film on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday we will learn basic editing in Movie Maker and start editing our videos.

This week will will work on our scripts and storyboards for our "Get To Know Each Other" project. Scripts and Storyboards will be due on Thursday. we will start filming on Friday.

3. Creating a Storyboard

• Repeat the shot three or four times
• Avoid pointing into the light
• Use a tripod

5. Editing the Video

• Cut out the bad parts
• Insert “stills”
• Trim it down to size

6. Create the Title

• Choose a template
• Write the name of the video
• Write your name
• You can make a custom template

7. Add the credits

• Use the same template as the title
• Name everyone who helped and what the did
• Appreciation helps

8. Add Special Effects

• Transitions between shots
• Filters over shots
• Don’t overdo it

9. Add Sound

• Add the Voiceover
• Add special sound effects
• Adjust the track volumes
• Add appropriate music

10. Publish the Video

• Save the whole thing as one
• Burn or Upload to a website

Week of January 11 - January 15

This week we will finish our discussion over the steps needed to create videos. There are 10 steps we will outline.
You will need to turn in your notes.
This week we will also learn how to use the video cameras.

Week of January 4 - January 8

This week we will go over the Classroom Handbook.

We will complete a scavenger hunt on Tuesday and Wednesday (make sure you have your handbook with you).
We will complete a Student Interest Survey on Thursday.
Friday we will get on the computers. YEAH!
You parent/student agreement is due Monday, January 11th.
